D: Brownies!!!

Ingredients:

  • 8oz dark chocolate (Bakers squares)
  • 2 sticks (1C) butter
  • 1C all-purpose flour
  • 1/2C cocoa powder
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 2C brown sugar
  • 1TBsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1C chocolate chips

Needed items:

  • 9x13in brownie pan

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Oil and flour the baking pan.

Melt the chocolate (8oz chocolate) and the butter in a double boiler (or gently in the microwave) while stirring. When melted, whisk until smooth.

While the mixture cools slightly, whisk the flour, socoa, baking powder and salt.

Add the eggs, sugar, and vanilla to the chocolate and mix thoroughly.

Stir in the flour mixture and chocolate chips until incorporated.

Pour into a lightly oiled and floured 9x13in pan. Bake for exactly 25 minutes.

Verdict:

D: well, I didn’t bother to check with a toothpick so it was more a tray of lava cake. I’d recommend using the right size of pan >.> Delicious though. Currently baking through a little more :( Be careful about the doneness and use a large pan so they’re thin.

Post baking longer, still kinda soft; Michael Smith recommends adding 1/2C of extra flour if you want them more cakey: maybe add the flour.

S: still delicious. Perfect with a glass of milk.
